SUMMER DOAN is a Vietnamese producer and director based in London, specializing in narrative, documentary and commercial. Originally from Ho Chi Minh City, she holds degrees in Journalism and Film, with a Master of Arts in Film Production.

​

She has worked across commercials, documentaries, and short films, collaborating with VICE, Channel News Asia, and Our Grandfather Story's USAID partnership. Her work with global agencies like Across The Pond, Ogilvy, and Societal includes campaigns for Unilever, Google, and Amazon. She has also directed social impact films for World Wildlife Fund Vietnam, Save the Children, and Our Better World.​

At RICE Channel TV, she directed original short documentary series, including Vietnamese Overseas, a docuseries on migration. Her documentary Land of Opportunity won Best Documentary at Starling Film Festival 2023, and her commercial Rollercoaster of Flavours won the Jury Award in the 16mm Kodak Commercial Competition. She recently co-produced the six-episode mini-series Blue Season (2025) and continues to produce narrative projects.
